Cuando nacio este proyecto y con que objetivo?.Durante que tiempo se realizaran estos estudios en las islas?.Qué instituciones estan respaldando este proyecto?. When was this project born and what exactly is the objective? The renewable energy project was born at the time of the Jessica oil spill. The United Nations cantacted the e7 to provide help replacing the diesel generators on the islands with renewable energy. The object is to protect the natural environment and the economy of the Galapagos from future oil spills by reducing the need for oil to generate electricity. #1. Cuando nacio este proyecto y con que objetivo? El proyecto de la energía reanudable fue llevado a la hora del derramamiento del aceite de Jessica. Los Naciones Unidas contactan el e7 para proporcionar la ayuda que substituía los generadores diesel en las islas por energía reanudable. El objetivo es proteger el ambiente natural y la economía de las Islas Galápagos del aceite futuro se derrama reduciendo la necesidad del aceite de generar electricidad. #2. How long has the project been going on in the islands and how long will it last? The renewable energy project is now in the third year of development. The construction of the wind mills to repower San Cristobal should begin in the year 2005. It will continue indefinitely. #2 Durante que tiempo se realizaran estos estudios en las islas? The e7 recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Mines, Minerals and Energy, and with the Ministry of the Environment. The e7 also has a joint-venture agreement with ElecGalapagos S.A. to build the project. At this time the e7 is also looking for other financial partners to join the project. #3. El e7 firmó recientemente un memorándum de la comprensión con el Ministerio de Minas, de Minerales y de la Energía, y con el Ministerio del Ambiente. El proyecto de la energía reanudable fue llevado a la hora del derramamiento del aceite de Jessica. Los Naciones Unidas contactan el e7 para proporcionar la ayuda que substituía los generadores diesel en las islas por energía reanudable. El objetivo es proteger el ambiente natural y la economía de las Islas Galápagos del aceite futuro se derrama reduciendo la necesidad del aceite de generar electricidad.
